Invoke Possiblities

In a world which divides people along lines of culture, class, ethnicity, gender, race, sexual orientation and age, we can miss the opportunity to engage in meaningful connections of discovery and synergetic engagement.

Inter-cultural intelligence, multi-racial perspective taking and an equity mindset invoke possibilities and calls upon the understanding heart to break down the barriers erected by pre-judgments and fear of the “other”. We become less fearful of others when we learn more about ourselves.

Everyday learning often starts with a surprise - something unexpected happens for good or for worse. We are at a choice point we can use that to change our understanding, our mind and our behavior or choose it to strengthen an old familiar pattern, belief, habit of thought, or bias.

 

I believe that when we choose to change our mind – we can than change our behavior. Inter-cultural synergy is created when we gain awareness and insight into our own culture, implicit and explicit biases,beliefs and expectation that prevent us from connecting with others in meaningful productive and creative ways. 

Intercultural synergy is channeled by empowering individual willingness, interpersonal responsibility, collective engagement, and global commitment to inclusion, creativity and sustainable change. Services include consulting, coaching, mentoring, training, strategic planning and implementation around a variety of topics including implicit bias, disproportionality, equity, intercultural

proficiency and wellness.
